Dorado Cua Lodge - Isoró wetland area -

-We fish here on clear waters with the season starting in September and stretching to mid of June. These months are the best for this activity.

Two fishermen per guide fish from comfortable boats, leaving the lodge after breakfast at dawn and fishing from the morning till the evening when darkness falls. At midday a box lunch and a rest can be had on an island or if the fishermen prefer they return to the lodge and have lunch there and then a nap.

Fly Fishing only is practiced and we guarantee between 15 to 20 strikes a day, with the opportunity of catching 10 Dorados a day.

Their weight varies between 4 to 20 pounds. The best flies are dark colour with something bright on them. Number 7-8 rods are recommended with sinking lines or "teenyline" 300’s.

This is a new lodge recently inaugurated. Built by craftsmen, using logs and local materials. The covered surface is 450 square meters. Situated opposite the fantastic islands and streams in a vast marshland formed by the Paraná and Isoro rivers. A very good area or even one of the best locations for fishing the Dorado, a fresh water fish also called Tiger of the River. Many anglers are fly casting Dorado today. Clear waters year round.

The lodge was built in this area so that the fisherman has : less time travelling - more time fishing!!! An incredible fishery for dorado, dog fish and giant pirania. All this is only a short boat ride from the Dorado Cua lodge !! There are thousands of birds in the area, with caymans and other animals in this habitat. Excellent large bedrooms of double occupancy with private bathrooms, delicious food and very good wines. Really the best one can offer a fisherman!!!

The Capita Mini Lodge and the Dorado Cua Lodge are 220 kilometres from each other. The nearest town to Capita Mini is Mercedes at about 50 Kms and the nearest town to Dorado Cua is Goya at about 70 Kms.
